Scientific Testing Center "SAMTES" was founded in the 1990s as a
joint Soviet-and-American test laboratory. In the early 1993 a group of young scientists and engineers created a test laboratory, with
the support of American businessmen. This laboratory was the first in the modern Russia to test the equipment imported into Russia as regards the compliance to the national standards in terms of quality and safety.
 Complex electromagnetic environment in Moscow and a great number of broadcasting stations made us to locate our test facilities far away from Moscow and other large cities.
The building of our test center is situated on the territory of the nature reserve park near the Protva-river, not far away from the Zhukov town (Kaluga region). It is one of the most beautiful places and a perfect site for tests of EMC parameters.
 Since that time the specialists of our Center have created and upgraded a number of laboratories and continue to develop new testing equipment and train the personnel and young specialists. We take pride to use our anechoic chamber, which allows to test various kinds of equipment (from pocket computers and cellular phones to large-size equipment) with a very high accuracy and check the compliance with national and international standards. There are a lot of national manufacturers in modern Russia.
For this reason, besides testing of the imported equipment we also test the equipment produced by Russian manufacturers and offer services for testing and preparation of documentation at different stages of development.
