The equipment used by the STC "SAMTES" for conducting EMC tests includes an semi-anechoic shielded chamber (SSC) and an Open Area Site (OAT), which allow to measure the radiated disturbance in the frequency range from 30 to 1000 MHz. SSC's dimensions: 16m * 6m * 6 m. The walls of the chamber are lined with a ferrite absorber of electromagnetic waves known under a "Don-11" trademark. This absorber is a panel with the dimensions of the foundation: 488mm * 488 mm, category 11, GOST R 50011 - 92, reflection factor not more than - 10 dB in the frequency range 0.03 - 10 GHz.
SSC was certified by the institute 32 GNIII MO of the Russian Federation for conformance with the requirements the EMC standard, Publication CISPR No. 16 for measurements within a distance of three and ten meters, in the frequency range from 30 to 1000 MHz. SSC has been certificated by the institute 32 GNIII MO of the Russian Federation relating the anechoic factor in the frequency range 1-18 GHz. In the chamber there is a dielectric bar enabling to move the antenna in the vertical direction to the height of up to 4 meters. The turntable is 2 meters diameter, which is also located in the chamber, it allows to turn the EUT (weight up to 500 kg) by 360 degrees.
Thanks to the video camera installed in the SSC, the operator conducts the tests from the outside of the SSC. The processes of the rotation of the turntable and the rise of the antenna are remotely controlled.
The Open Area Site was certificated by the institute 32 GNIII MO of the Russian Federation for conformance with the requirements the EMC standard, publication CISPR No. 16 for measuring within a distance of three and ten meters, in the frequency range from 30 to 1000 MHz. The OAT is equipped with an elevating dielectric bar, and a turntable 2 meters diameter enables the rotation of the EUT (weight up to 500 kg) by 360 degrees.
The Hewlett-Packard 8591EM spectrum analyser together with a complete set of measuring antennas, adjusting systems and software is used for measuring conducted and radiated disturbances (they are used to automatically measure the conducted disturbances (peak, quasi peak and average) in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 30MHz and the radiated disturbances in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 1.8 GHz). The centre also uses the Hewlett-Packard 8593E spectrum analyser together with a complete set of measuring antennas and software (it measures in the automatic mode the power of radio signals in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 26, 5 GHz).
