  In Russia there are a number of goods which may not be sold without a certificate of conformity. This rule does not apply to goods, which are not included in the "List of products which are subject to mandatory certification in accordance with normative documents of the Russian Federation, " and "List of products, whose conformity may be confirmed by declaration of conformity " (press release dated July 22, 2004)
